Most of the Unitarian Universalists I've known have been weird. Then again, so have most of the "devout" Christians, pagans, Wiccans, and -- heaven help me -- the Catholics I've known as well. And don't even get me started on the 7th-Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses I'm acquainted with!

"Hm? Catholics are Christians? Didn't know..." :p

Catholics to Christians are like Guinness to regular beer. I like to think of them as the EXTREME version of Christianity. Their rules are ten times as strict and guilt seems to follow everything they do...

Catholicism is also quite a legalistic branch of professing Christianity, because it passes off so many man-made rituals and rules as though they were the Word of God.

"And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."
Matthew 15:9/Mark 7:7

This isn't my word. I'm simply quoting Jesus Himself.

I read the bible and studied it a bit more, and I'm happier with my results.

BTW: I'm still thinking like a Quaker, but at least my Conservative Christian % (the viewpoint I claim) went up 10.

I literally thank God that my New Age, Neopagan, Secular Humanism, and Scientology count are nice and low.
